AVTOVAZ will launch the production of LADA cars in St. Petersburg as part of SPIEF

AVTOVAZ at the next St. Petersburg International Economic Forum will launch a conveyor line for assembling cars at a plant in St. Petersburg together with a Chinese partner, the head of the company Maxim Sokolov told the TASS agency. At the same time, he did not disclose which cars will be produced at St. Petersburg LADA enterprise. Meanwhile, within the framework of the dealer conference held in Sochi, AVTOVAZ demonstrated to its participants a new LADA X-cross 5 crossover, which is a converted version of FAW Bestune T77. "We assume that LADA X-cross 5 crossover will be presented in the price range from 1.8 to 2 million rubles, which may make it possible to launch successfully a new car in the LADA line.

In our opinion, it is potentially possible to separate this car from its Chinese counterpart due to the advantages of local assembly and, of course, its configuration. In the Russian market, the main competitors for LADA X-cross 5 will undoubtedly be all Chinese brands that are now actively appearing in the dealer network, as well as Moskvich 3 crossover," - Yulia Bubnova, commercial director of the TransTechService Group of Companies, informed AUTOSTAT.
