Compass 5 light truck enters the Russian market

Trucks Vostok Rus, the official manufacturer and distributor of medium-duty trucks of Compass family, has introduced a new light truck Compass 5. Production of the model at Trucks Vostok Rus plant in Naberezhnye Chelny began in the spring of 2023, the press service of automaker reports.

Since a category B driver's license is enough to drive the new Compass 5, the model will be in demand not only by transport companies, but also by private entrepreneurs. "Compass 5" with a gross weight of up to 3.5 tons will allow you to move on public roads and drive into areas where the movement of heavy trucks is prohibited.
Compass 5 with a gross weight of up to 3.5 tons is equipped with 4-cylinder 2.2-liter diesel engines KAMAZ-580 with a capacity of 122 hp with a torque of 320 Nm, as well as a 5-speed manual gearbox. The vehicle is equipped with a hydraulic brake system with front disc and rear drum mechanisms, as well as a hill start assist system. Compass 5 comes standard with halogen headlights, cruise control system, engine brake, central locking, fuel pre-filter with water sensor and heating.

Recall that the first Compass trucks rolled off the production line of Trucks Vostok Rus in July 2022. In addition to Compass 5, at the moment in Naberezhnye Chelny at the Trucks Vostok Rus plant, the production of the new Compass 9 with a gross weight of 9500 kg, Compass 12 with a gross weight of 11990 kg with the possibility of installing various add-on options has been launched. Depending on the transport tasks facing the client, the Compass chassis can be equipped with refrigerated, isothermal or manufactured goods vans, an onboard platform, a CMU, a tow truck, a garbage truck, a fuel tanker, a dump body, a multi-lift, etc.
