Kama intends to produce 10,000 Atom electric vehicles in 2025

Kama automobile company plans to start the mass production of Atom electric vehicles in mid-2025 and produce about 10,000 such vehicles by the end of the year. This was reported to RIA Novosti by the company's CEO Igor Povarazdnyuk. At the same time, he did not disclose exactly where it is planned to organize the production of new items, by specifying that several production sites are currently being considered. Earlier it became known that among them there is the former Ford plant in Naberezhnye Chelny. According to Mr. Povarazdnyuk, the price of Atom electric vehicles will correspond to the mass price segment - not the premium one.

Recall that the prototype of Atom electric car was presented in May this year. In terms of comfort, Atom will correspond to C / D-class, while it will be presented in compact dimensions: length will be 3995 mm, width - 1780 mm and height - 1615 mm. The vehicle received a uniform appearance and dimension for all versions, which, according to analysts, will help reduce production costs. Atom will be presented in four modifications: single-seat Delivery (analogues - LADA Largus, Peugeot Partner and Citroen Berlingo), two-seat Duo (Volkswagen id3, BMW i3 and Mini Cooper), four-seat Taxi (Volkswagen id3, BYD D1) and five-seat Family (Volkswagen id3, BMW i3, Honda e/Neta U). The mileage of each version on a single charge will be 500 km. Speed characteristics range from 130 km/h for taxi and delivery models to 170 km/h for the rest. All modifications will be equipped with front-wheel drive and will receive a recovery system. Atoms will ship with the ATOM OS operating system, which can be controlled using an application on a smartphone. The equipment of the model will include such functions as lane keeping, following in a traffic jam, recognition of road signs and unforeseen situations for the driver and passengers.
