The market of used electric vehicles showed the growth for the first time per a year

According to "AUTOSTAT" agency, residents of Russia bought 875 used electric vehicles in April 2023. Despite the fact that this result is inferior to the March one (899 units), it turns out to be 20% higher than in April 2022 (728 units).

Agency experts noted that the secondary market of electric cars showed growth for the first time for the last 13 months. Prior to that, it showed a positive trend in March 2022 (+92%).

Over a half (54%) of used electric vehicles purchased in April represented by Nissan brand (471 units), and actually by one model - Leaf. Tesla (179 units) accounts for a fifth of this market, and Hyundai (52 units) finishes the TOP-3. By the way, electric cars Tesla Model 3 (79 units) and Hyundai Kona (52 units) are also in the top three of most popular models.

Every sixth used electric car purchased in April belonged to Moscow (143 units). This figure is twice as low in Krasnodar Territory and Irkutsk Region (70 and 69 units, respectively). Residents of each of the remaining regions of the Russian Federation bought less than 50 used electric cars in April.
