The number of truck dealers is growing in Russia

Along with the growth of the market of new trucks in the Russian Federation, the experts of "AUTOSTAT" agency also noted an increase in the number of their dealers.

Thus, according to the agency, as of mid-May 2023, there are 1,128 official dealers* of trucks in our country. Meanwhile, three months ago, this figure was 1037, i.e. in February there were 91 fewer dealerships.

The growth in the number of dealers is mainly due to Chinese brands. For example, during this time SITRAK has added 30 dealerships, Foton - 13, FAW and Shacman/Shaanxi - 12, Dongfeng - 11, Hongyan - 10. Recall that companies from China are actively forming and developing their dealer networks, replacing European and Japanese manufacturers who have left Russia.

Despite this, most dealers in the cargo segment still have domestic brands. The leader in this regard is GAZ, which has 125 dealerships. KAMAZ has 103 of them, while other market participants have less than a hundred.
