In 2008 there was output 1, 5 mln of passenger cars in Russia

Last year, on data of the Federal Service of state statistics, Russian factories output a record number of passenger cars � 1, 5 mln units, having exceeded the highest result of the 2007 by 13, 6%.
As the analysts of �AUTOSTAT� note, the Russian automotive industry exceeded the last year�s volume of 1, 3 mln cars in October. However, during the next months the production indexes of the enterprises started to fall in comparison to previous months and in comparison with the same months of 2007. In December, there was on 11% less cars, left the factory�s conveyers than in November. The production of passenger cars in Russia decreased by 16, 5% in comparison to December of 2007. This can be explained by the fact that the majority of car factories went on New Year�s vacation earlier in connection with fall of demand and the overstocking of warehouses.
