BELAZ presented a new generation dump truck for Russia

BELAZ presented a new generation dump truck BELAZ-75184, which will replenish the line of 180-ton trucks. Assembled in the experimental workshop, the promising novelty will now go to in-plant tests, the press service of enterprise reports.

High-strength steels are used in the design of BELAZ-75184 load-bearing elements. In the most stressed places of the frame, cast reinforcing elements are structurally laid. Suspension kinematics is updated and optimized. Such point improvements made it possible to reduce the load on the load-bearing elements, reduce the weight of the frame, increase its strength and service life, as well as the reliability, maneuverability and smoothness of the new model.

The power filling of the upgraded machine is represented by 2000 hp diesel engine. The dump truck is also equipped with an AC electromechanical transmission. The dump truck received a volumetric fuel tank increased to 2500 liters with quick refueling systems, fuel level control, a condensate collection and drain function.

It is also worth noting the quick unloading of the 180-tonne, which is facilitated by a new hydraulic system that speeds up the lifting and lowering of the wear-resistant body.

Comprehensive operator protection in hazardous mining conditions is guaranteed by a specially designed extended platform canopy that covers the machine deck and a cab equipped with a ROPS / FOPS passive safety device. The functionality and comfort of the cab are provided by electronic instrument panel, climate control system, sound insulation and pneumatically adjustable seats. For operation at extremely low temperatures, BELAZ-75184 can be equipped with an additional heater, double glazing, electrically heated mirrors.

According to Alexander Naskovets, general designer of BELAZ, the potential of dump trucks of this class of carrying capacity is very high. Thus, in Russian mining and gold mining companies, 180-ton dump trucks are in great demand, and BELAZ-75184 is designed to replace the equipment of foreign competitors who have left the Russian market.
