KAMAZ has sold 1000 flagship trucks of the K5 generation since the beginning of the year

Since the beginning of January, as of May 10, 2023, KAMAZ has sold 1,000 flagship trucks of the K5 generation. As noted, despite the consequences of sanctions pressure - the cessation of supplies of components from a number of countries, the plant did not stop the production of the flagship family: before the restart of production of this model on a new component base, 150 cars with the index 54901 rolled off the assembly line every month. In their production, auto components from warehouse stocks, the press service of the automaker reports.

In parallel, during 2022, the company's specialists worked on the localization of imported components, a lot of work was done with alternative Russian suppliers and suppliers from friendly countries to replace more than two thousand positions. As a result, in February 2023, serial production of KAMAZ-54901 vehicles based on a new component base, independent of supplies from unfriendly countries, was launched at the car plant. At the moment, more than 30 such tractors roll off the assembly line every day. During the year, it is planned to expand the model range of localized K5 vehicles with improved consumer characteristics due to heavy dump trucks KAMAZ-6595 and KAMAZ-65951.

The new version of tractor has improved technical characteristics. The car is equipped with modified cooling systems, neutralization, electrical equipment, on-board information system, cab suspension and all heavy trucks. On the new K5 vehicle, the automatic transmission, drive axle, pneumatic system, and other components have been replaced. In addition, the updated model has improved ride smoothness and reduced fuel consumption. An additional soundproofing layer is also provided on the cab doors - it will provide more comfortable conditions for the driver.
