The share of dump truck sales in Russia is approaching 40%

For 4 months of 2023, 14.5 thousand new dump trucks were sold in our country. According to the experts of "AUTOSTAT" agency with reference to the data of JSC "PPK" *, this is more than a third (37.5%) of all sold trucks.

At the same time, a year ago (in January-April 2022), dump trucks accounted for less than a quarter (23.4%) of the truck market. According to this indicator, they were even inferior to truck tractors, which then owned 26.4% of the market (now - 27.2%). The increase in the market share of dump trucks is primarily due to the active implementation of major national projects and programs.
If we consider the current sales structure of dump trucks, then 78% are products of Chinese manufacturers. Russian brands occupy only 18%. According to the results of 4 months of last year, the alignment was different: 37% and 45%, respectively.

The top-five of the most popular dump truck brands today consists of Shacman/Shaanxi (27.4% of total sales), FAW (21.6%), KAMAZ (15.7%), Howo (14.7%) and SITRAK (10.1%). %). The share of each of the remaining brands was less than 4%.
