South Korea has limited the supply of cars to Russia

South Korea has introduced severe restrictions on car exports to Russia and Belarus, which came into effect on April 28, 2023. At the same time, Ministry of Industry notes that so far the embargo has affected cars worth more than 50 thousand dollars and spare parts for them. However, in the future, a complete ban on the export of South Korean-made cars to Russia is not ruled out, Autonews.ru portal writes. At the moment, Hyundai and Kia cars are not officially delivered to our country. Some models are imported by dealers and individuals through parallel imports. Recall that in March 2022, Russian Hyundai Motor plant in St. Petersburg stopped working, and in September, Avtotor Kaliningrad stopped the assembly of Hyundai and Kia cars.
