AVTOVAZ intends to take 10% of the car market in Uzbekistan

AVTOVAZ, which intends to resume the assembly of its cars in Uzbekistan at the local ADM Jizzak plant with the LADA Vesta NG model, plans to produce annually 15 thousand cars of the flagship family in the republic. Maxim Sokolov, president of the company, informed the Prime agency about it, by adding that in the future AVTOVAZ intends to occupy 10% of the car market of Uzbekistan, by producing 30,000 cars of several models, including LADA Granta. In addition, the head of AVTOVAZ announced his intention to deepen the localization of the production of LADA cars in Uzbekistan, including welding and painting. Recall that in September 2021, AVTOVAZ began serial assembly of LADA vehicles together with Uzbek company Roodell at the ADM Jissakh plant located in the Jizzakh free economic zone in Uzbekistan.

The assembly process has been adjusted taking into account all the requirements of AVTOVAZ for equipment, technological processes and quality. The involved in the project personnel have received the necessary training. Later, production of LADA cars at ADM Jissakh was suspended. As previously reported by "AUTOSTAT", during 2022, AVTOVAZ retained the number of export countries - these are 17 states, to the markets of which 17,246 LADA cars (-52%) were delivered. As noted, Uzbekistan is one of the key export markets for AVTOVAZ, and LADA brand is well known in the republic.
