The production of passenger cars fell by 20% in March 2023

According to Rosstat, for the first three months of 2023, 86.4 thousand cars left the Russian conveyors, which is 64.6% lower than in the same period of the previous year. Meanwhile, 32.5 thousand cars were produced in March, which is 20.3% lower than a year before. It should be noted that AVTOVAZ has started mass production of LADA Vesta NG vehicles at the production site in Tolyatti. The production of trucks in January-March was 33.5 thousand units, which is 17.6% lower than the figure for the same period of the previous year. In the first spring month, 7.4 thousand trucks left Russian conveyors, which is 6.7% higher than a year before.
