Used luxury car market decreased by 15% in Q1

The situation in the market of used luxury cars in January-March 2023 looks better than in the market of new such cars. Here the market decreased only by 15% (for comparison: sales of new "luxury" fell by 48%). According to the data of analytical agency "AUTOSTAT", in the 1st quarter of 2023, residents of Russian Federation purchased 423 luxury used cars. More than 40% of the total amount belonged to Bentley brand, which is 173 units. Much less used cars were purchased from Maserati (94 units) and Rolls-Royce (68 units). As for expensive supercars of other brands, in January-March, 52 used Lamborghini cars, 29 Ferraris and 7 Aston Martins changed their owners. The leading luxury used model in the first three months of 2023 belongs to Bentley Continental GT, with 81 sold units. Maserati Levante took second place with 58 units, and Lamborghini Urus came third with 42 units. The TOP-5 includes two more representatives of Bentley - Bentayga (38 units) and Continental Flying Spur (35 units). With regard to the geography of this market, experts at the beginning of 2023 did not note any surprises.

Traditionally, the lion's share of used "luxury" cars belonged to Moscow - 50.1%. And together with Moscow region (11.6%) and St. Petersburg (11.3%), these three regional markets together accounted for approximately three-quarters of the total volume (73%). Of the non-capital subjects of the Russian Federation, Krasnodar Territory turned out to be the best with a share of 4.3%.
