Avtodom Group bought Russian assets of Mercedes-Benz

Avtodom group of companies announced the closing of an acquire deal of Russian assets of Mercedes-Benz, including Mercedes-Benz Rus JSC (the official distributor of Mercedes-Benz in the Russian Federation), Mercedes-Benz Manufacturing Rus LLC (a car plant located near Moscow), LLC Mercedes-Benz Bank Rus, Mercedes-Benz Financial Services Rus LLC (leasing subsidiary) and Mercedes-Benz Capital Rus LLC (engaged in leasing, factoring and car insurance). Thus, Avtodom Group of Companies received the right to carry out maintenance of Mercedes-Benz cars that were sold in the Russian market, including warranty and post-warranty support, to resume the work of Russian companies and ship spare parts from the central warehouse, the press service of Avtodom Group of Companies reports. In the near future, Avtodom Group of Companies promises to name its technology partner and share plans to resume production at a plant near Moscow.

The terms of the deal to acquire Avtodom Group of Russian assets of Mercedes-Benz have not been disclosed. However, earlier it became known that Mercedes-Benz retained the opportunity to return to the Russian market through the buyback of assets in the event that Western sanctions are lifted. Recall that in March 2022, local production and import of Mercedes-Benz cars to our country were stopped, and in October Stuttgart company announced its withdrawal from the Russian market and the sale of its assets in our country to Avtodom dealer holding. According to sources of Izvestia newspaper, the assembly of Chinese premium cars of Hongqi brand may begin at Mercedes-Benz plant in the Moscow region.
