Chery plans to introduce a new flagship sedan Arrizo Star to the Russian market, which premiered at the Shanghai Motor Show. Zhang Guibing, President of Chery International, announced it, by adding that sales of Arrizo 8 business sedan with a powerful powertrain will also begin this summer in Russia, which will also be available with a hybrid transmission in the future. In addition, already in May, Russian dealers will have a seven-seat hybrid crossover Chery Tiggo 8 PRO e+. By the end of the year, it is planned to introduce Tiggo 7 PRO crossover with a hybrid power plant in our country. "The next step in the Russian market, on the way to transforming the market environment, is to introduce electric cars. We see that the infrastructure in Russia is ready for this. The operation of electric vehicles in the winter period shows good results, the number of manufacturers of charging stations is increasing, as well as their number and coverage," said Mr. Guibin.

According to him, today Chery cars are equipped with various gearboxes, such as MT, CVT and DCT. Considering the demand and needs of customers, Chery's own research and development department is currently developing a new AT transmission with high technology. The President of Chery International also said that the company continues to study opportunities and proposals from production sites in order to select the best solution for the localization project in Russia. At the same time, different ways of cooperation are being considered: Chery's own plant, a plant on a partnership basis.
