Production of EVM PRO electric cargo vehicle has begun in Russia

On April 13th, Electric Vehicles Manufacturing Rus launched the production of EVM PRO electric cargo vehicle at a new facility in the Technopolis Moscow SEZ. Investments in the implementation of the project amounted to almost 393 million rubles, more than 100 jobs were created, the press service of the Moscow City Hall reports. The capacities of the enterprise allow to produce up to a thousand cars per a year. With a total area of over 2.7 thousand square meters, it includes metalworking and SKD workshops, as well as an electrical workshop (the production of electric engines, on-board electronics will be opened in the third quarter of 2023). The first Russian electric cargo truck EVM PRO was developed on the basis of UAZ Profi chassis and has the following dimensions: 7015 cm long and 2940 cm high. The model is offered in four modifications - a manufactured goods van, an eurovan, an isothermal van, a refrigerated truck.

The power reserve of electric vehicle weighing 3.5 tons on a single charge will be 300 km, while the allowable payload can reach 1 ton. The maximum speed is 120 km/h (recommended 80 km/h, electronically limited). The EVM PRO electric truck is equipped with a 300 Nm electric engine, the battery capacity is 90 kWh. To preserve the charge in sub-zero temperatures, battery heating is provided. Charging time – is from one hour (when using fast chargers over 80 kW). A 40 kW portable charger is included with the EVM PRO electric truck, which allows, if necessary, to fully charge the car in two hours.

As AUTOSTAT previously reported, the price of the first 250 EVM PRO cars will be 4.5 million rubles. It will be possible to buy a new product both directly at the Electric Vehicles Manufacturing Rus company and at Torgmash car dealerships in Moscow.
