The release of E-Neva electric crossover can be established at the former Toyota plant in St. Petersburg

The production of E-Neva electric crossover developed by Almaz-Antey concern may begin in 2026 at Toyota car plant in St. Petersburg, which became state property after the Japanese automaker left the country. This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister - Head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov, adding that until that time the production of cars from other manufacturers could be launched at the enterprise. Recall that Toyota plant in St. Petersburg came under the control of FSUE NAMI, subordinated to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, in March 2023, writes Interfax agency. Details of the deal were not disclosed.

The capacities of this enterprise in St. Petersburg allow the production of up to 100 thousand cars. For the whole history of the plant's existence, more than 30 billion rubles have been invested in the development of production. Recall that E-Neva electric car was developed on the basis of unmanned modular electric platform presented by Almaz-Antey concern in August 2021. This is a crossover 4.5 meters long, which will be equipped with two electric engines with a total capacity of 364 kW.

Thanks to the high torque (824 Nm), the electric car will be able to accelerate to 60 km/h in 2.7 seconds. The mileage on a single charge will be 463 km; the maximum speed is 197 km/h. The electric crossover will be equipped with 88 kWh LiNMC battery and an energy recovery system.
