About 60% of Moskvich cars are sold on credit or under a trade-in scheme. This was announced to Rossiyskaya Gazeta by Sergey Novoselsky, Marketing and IT Director of the Petrovsky Group of Companies, by noting that as the brand is included in government support programs, the demand for Moskvich cars will grow. "We see that these opportunities are used, as a rule, by those buyers who previously purchased cars of European and Korean brands of the mass segment. Confidence in the quality of Moskvich cars is emphasized by the fact that customers trade-in mostly quite new cars of European brands," said Sergey Novoselsky.

According to the Petrovsky Group of Companies, 40% is Renault, other 20% is LADA. At the same time, other brands (Skoda, Citroen, Toyota, etc.) provide other 40%. More than half of the cars are sedans, and the share of trade-in transactions is 60%. The average amount of additional payment for "Moskvich" in trade-in transactions is 900 thousand rubles, the share of credit transactions is 57%. According to the results of the first quarter of 2023, 461 Moskvich cars were sold in Russia, experts of AUTOSTAT agency reported with reference to the data of JSC "PPK"*.

At the same time, the largest volume of sales of this brand were in March - 375 cars. Recall that in November last year, Moskvich car plant began the mass production of Moskvich 3 crossover (a localized version of the JAC JS4), and in December, its electric version called Moskvich 3e (Sehol E40X) appeared in the assembly line of the enterprise.

* JSC "PPK" ("Passport Industrial Consulting") is a joint venture of JSC "Electronic Passport" and LLC "AUTOSTAT".
