Sales of new trucks increased 1.5 times in March 2023

While the market decline continues in the passenger car and LCV segments, the growth in trucks has been observed for the fifth month in a row. This conclusion was made by the experts of the agency "AUTOSTAT", based on the data of JSC "PPK" *. Thus, according to the results of March 2023, 11,292 new trucks were sold in Russia, which is 51.3% higher than a year ago. The leadership in truck sales is kept by the domestic brand KAMAZ. In early spring, its result was 2.9 thousand units, which is 12.8% lower than in March 2022. This corresponds to more than a quarter (25.8%) of the total. The second position is occupied by Chinese SITRAK, which was not officially introduced in our country a year ago. And now, with a result of 1.6 thousand units, it took a little more than 14% of the market.

The third, fourth and fifth places are also taken by representatives of the Chinese auto industry: Shacman / Shaanxi (1.5 thousand units; 5.4 times growth), FAW (1 thousand units; 10.4 times growth) and Howo (0.8 thousand units; growth by 5.6 times). Among the models, the championship in March again belongs to the Chinese truck SITRAK C7H, which was sold in the amount of 1.6 thousand units. The closest "pursuers" are at least two times behind. * JSC "PPK" ("Passport Industrial Consulting") is a joint venture of JSC "Electronic Passport" and LLC "AUTOSTAT".
