For the whole of March, 7.1 thousand new light commercial vehicles (LCV) were sold in our country, which is 19.6% lower than in March 2022. This is reported by experts of analytical agency "AUTOSTAT" with reference to the data of JSC "PPK" *. Domestic GAZ remained the leader in this segment, by owning about 60% of the total market volume. So, in the first month of spring, 4.2 thousand light commercial vehicles of this brand were sold in Russia (+ 9.3% in compare with March 2022). The second place is occupied by the Russian UAZ (1.3 thousand units; +5.7%), the third is the domestic LADA (405 units; -64.7%).
The TOP-5 in terms of sales of new LCVs in March of this year also included the American brand Ford (278 units; -77%) and the Korean Hyundai (216 units; -16.3%). Of the remaining brands, only two managed to cross the mark of 100 sold units - the newcomer Sollers (209 units) and Mercedes-Benz (152 units; + 9.4%).
