A record number of vehicles were sold in the last week of March

For the period from March 27th to April 2nd (week 13), 2023, 23,817 new vehicles were sold in Russia. As experts of the agency "AUTOSTAT" noted with reference to the data of JSC "PPK" *, this figure is a record for the last year. Higher vehicle sales volumes were observed from the 7th to the 9th weeks of last year (over 30 thousand units), and starting from the 10th week (March 14-20, 2022) they were always lower. The highest result since then was recorded only at the end of the 9th week of 2023 - 21,902 units.

As for the results of the last week of March (the 13th in a row), about 80% of the vehicles sold during this period were passenger cars (18,906 units). About 12% belongs to trucks (2,736 units), approximately 8% belongs to LCVs (1,889 units). The remaining slightly more than 1% were buses (286 units).
