The market of new luxury cars in Russia showed a fall of 53%

In January-February 2023, Russians purchased only 56 new luxury cars, which is 52.5% lower than in the same period of 2022. This is reported by the experts of the agency "AUTOSTAT" with reference to the data of JSC "PPK"*. Recall that since the spring of last year, official deliveries to our country of almost all luxury cars have been banned. On the other hand, it is possible to bring them to Russia using the parallel import mechanism. When it comes to piece volumes, talking about the leadership of a particular brand is probably not so important. Therefore, we only note that in the first two months of 2023, 16 new Bentley, 13 Rolls-Royce, 10 Lamborghini supercars were purchased in our country. In addition, residents of Russia also purchased 7 Maserati, 5 Aurus, 4 Ferraris and 1 Aston Martin. Most of this luxury was purchased in the capital regions - 84% of the total. Namely: 36 units - in Moscow, 9 - in the Moscow region, 2 - in St. Petersburg.

The regions accounted for 9 new luxury cars: 2 of them are registered in the Sverdlovsk region, 1 each - in Tatarstan, the Chechen Republic, the Krasnodar Territory, Samara, Pskov, Rostov and Bryansk regions.
