AVTOVAZ will go on early corporate leave due to a disruption in the supply of components

The uninterrupted production of complete LADA vehicles from mid-May will become impossible due to the fact that a number of suppliers of components for which there is no replacement yet notified AVTOVAZ of the termination of supplies and violated the existing agreements to maintain supplies in 2023. In this regard, corporate vacation for employees of the enterprise, which was scheduled for three weeks from July 24, will be postponed to the period from May 29 to June 19. As noted in the message of AVTOVAZ, this decision will allow the company to gain time and replace suppliers of components, which will ensure more rhythmic work in the second half of 2023.

According to Maxim Sokolov, President of AVTOVAZ, three weeks of vacation at the beginning of the summer will not affect the availability of cars in the dealer network, but will ensure the formation of an additional reserve of components to meet the goal of producing more than 400 thousand cars in 2023. AVTOVAZ retains undisputed leadership in the Russian market - 21,558 LADA cars (+13.6%) were sold in February, experts of AUTOSTAT agency reported with reference to the data of JSC "PPK"*. According to the results of the first two months of 2023, AVTOVAZ products were sold in the amount of 39,193 vehicles, which is 11.4% higher than the figure for the same period of last year.
