Former JV with Iveco will continue to produce trucks with Chinese JAC

The former Iveco-AMT joint venture, from which the Italian company Iveco withdrew from the shareholders in August 2022, will continue to work with a new partner. It will be the Chinese automaker JAC Motors, thanks to cooperation with which the plant "AMT N.V." in Miass, Chelyabinsk region, is developing and will soon introduce a new range of automotive vehicles to the market, the press service of the enterprise reports. As noted, unlike the traditional all-wheel drive model range, which was produced by the company earlier, the new model range will include both all-wheel drive and non-all-wheel drive commercial vehicles with a gross weight of 12 to 90 tons, with wheel arrangements 4x2.4x4.6x2.6x4 , 6x6,8x4,8x8,10x10 and a basic line of engines with power from 480 to 550 hp.

Thus, AMT N.V. continues to support the traditional direction - the production of special trucks designed for various oil and gas, forestry, construction, mining technologies. In addition, it complements its range with non-4WD vehicles for long-distance transportation and municipal services, taking into account the needs of customers, whether they are large international companies or individuals. Production of cars "AMT N.V." is carried out according to the full cycle and includes the development of design documentation taking into account the requirements of customers, the manufacture of the chassis, starting with the frame, welding and painting of cabins and superstructures. The production capacity of the enterprise is designed for the production of 5 thousand cars per year.
