Sales of automotive vehicles in Russia are growing for two weeks in a row

For the period from March 20th to March 26th (week 12), 2023, 21,540 new vehicles were sold in Russia. According to experts of "AUTOSTAT" agency with reference to the data of JSC "PPK" *, this is 17.7% higher than a week earlier. Recall that the previous (11th) week showed positive dynamics (+19%). More than a quarter (78%) of the total number of sold vehicles was passenger cars, which sold 16,797 units in the last week.

Approximately 12.3% is owned by trucks (2,643 units), while the remaining 10% is shared between LCVs and buses (1,652 and 448 units, respectively). It is worth noting that, like a week earlier, all four segments of the market for new automotive vehicles again showed positive dynamics. Thus, cars showed growth by 18.9%, trucks - by 11.5%, LCV - by 5.9%, and buses - by 87.4%.
