KAMAZ will expand the range of K5 generation trucks

KAMAZ plans to produce several thousand K5 generation vehicles by the end of 2023. This was announced by the General Director of the enterprise Sergey Kogogin, by noting that the global goal is to return to his development strategy, to develop the line of K5 cars. It is planned to expand this promising line with new models, to create up to fifteen modifications. Their efficiency and fuel economy have been proven under real operating conditions. Recall that in February 2023, KAMAZ began production of the updated KAMAZ-54901 mainline tractor. The release of this version of K5 will not depend on the supply of components from unfriendly countries.

According to Mr. Kogogin, a large-scale work has been carried out to localize the components - in particular, the frame of the K5 cabins, engine, and front axle. The new version of the tractor has improved technical characteristics. The car is equipped with modified cooling systems, neutralization, electrical equipment, on-board information system, cab suspension and all heavy trucks. On the new K5 car, the automatic transmission, drive axle, pneumatic system, and other components have been replaced. In addition, the updated model has improved ride smoothness and reduced fuel consumption. An additional soundproofing layer is also provided on the cab doors - it will provide more comfortable conditions for the driver.
