"AUTOSTAT OMNIBUS" is an annual project of the analytical agency "AUTOSTAT", which is a survey of car owners according to a certain methodology and makes it possible to compare assessment indicators over time.

The market of new motorcycles in Russia showed some instability in the first two months of the year, experts of the AUTOSTAT agency reported. On the one hand, sales volumes in January-February were quite close to last year's level, on the other hand, multidirectional dynamics are observed. Thus, according to JSC "PPK" *, in January there was a slight increase in sales (+3.4%), in February - on the contrary, a slight decrease (-5.8%).
The total result of the two months of this year is 732 sold motorcycles, which is 2.5% lower than the result of two months of 2022. Exactly half of this amount belonged to Chinese brands (366 stamps). The share of Indian motorcycles for the reporting period was 11.6%, which is equivalent to 85 units. Every tenth sold motorcycle is a Japanese brand (73 units). Each of the remaining countries accounts for less than 5% of total sales. Despite the leadership of the “Chinese”, Indian Bajaj (85 units) excels in the brand rating.
The TOP-3 also included Regulmoto (76 units) and Kayo (58 units). In terms of geography, every fifth new motorcycle was sold in Moscow (147 units). In the Moscow region, 61 units were sold for two months. Among the non-capital regions, Krasnodar Territory is the leader (59 units). The TOP-5 also includes St. Petersburg (51 units) and Sverdlovsk Region (50 units). Thus, these five constituent entities of the Russian Federation own a little more than a half (50.3%) of all sold new motor vehicles.
