The average cost of auto parts in Russia grew by 20%

New directories of the average cost of spare parts, materials and standard hours of work, in accordance with which OSAGO payments are calculated, came into force on March 19th, 2023. According to the Russian Union of Motor Insurers (RSA), the average cost of spare parts in the next updated version grew by 19.5% in compare with the prices of March of last year. As noted in the RSA, as a result of the stabilization of the situation with spare parts, the prices in the new reference books decreased by 6.4% in compare with the prices of the reference book on spare parts dated on December 19th. One of the reasons for this is that since the autumn of last year, new channels for the supply of spare parts began to appear, which led to the stabilization of prices for spare parts, and in many cases to a slight decrease in them.

Recall that the new reality prompted the Central Bank of the Russian Federation to approve a new standard for the Unified Method for Calculating Spare Parts in average cost reference books. Now the cost of repairs is calculated only taking into account the prices of analogues of original parts, if the manufacturers of these "originalsС left Russia. Non-original spare parts mean not only those spare parts that are produced in other countries, but also primarily those that were produced at Russian enterprises. The automaker left, but Russian plants are working, by producing spare parts that go on sale. In fact, this is the same spare part, which, due to the current situation, cannot formally be considered as original.
