Kaiyi introduced X3 and X3 Pro crossovers in Russia

Kaiyi company has introduced two new compact crossovers in Russia, the production of which is planned to be launched at the Avtotor Kaliningrad plant. Currently, certification of these models is being completed, and they should appear on sale in mid-April. As Dmitry Ivanov, Kaiyi Rus sales director, informed Gazeta.Ru, the new crossovers will be presented in the price range of 1.8-3 million rubles.

In addition, according to him, Kaiyi plans to introduce electric vehicles in Russia the next year. In size, Kaiyi X3 and X3 Pro crossovers are similar to Kia Seltos model familiar to Russians. Their length is 4400 mm, and the wheelbase is 2632 mm. Kaiyi X3 is equipped with a 1.5L naturally aspirated engine (116 HP), while the X3 Pro is equipped with a 1.5 L turbo engine with 147 HP. Both engines work in combination with a variator.

Externally, Kaiyi X3 and X3 Pro crossovers differ in the design of the front end (with a split radiator grille in the X3 Pro) and different bumpers, while inside the X3, the digital dashboard and multimedia displays are visually combined into one screen, unlike the X3 Pro. It is planned that by the end of 2023, Kaiyi lineup in Russia will also be replenished with X7 Kunlun mid-size crossover, which is equipped with a 2-liter turbo engine with 249 hp and a 7-speed "robot" with two clutches.
