UAZ confirmed the return of ABS to its SUVs

Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant has officially confirmed that Patriot, Pickup and Profi models are again equipped with ABS (by APG). The anti-lock braking system will return to cars of the SGR family in the near future, UAZ press service informed Rossiyskaya Gazeta. In addition, the company promised to return "automatic" and airbags to its SUVs.

Recall that last year Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant, due to a shortage of electronic components, launched the production of a simplified version of the Patriot model: such cars were deprived of a driver's airbag, ABS and the ERA-GLONASS emergency response system. In addition, the chrome strip disappeared from the radiator grille, and the steering wheel of the 2010 model was registered in the cabin.

Also during 2023, UAZ plans to develop a modernized Patriot family with a 6-speed manual transmission and a turbodiesel from the Chinese automaker JAC. According to unofficial data, we are talking about a JAC HFC4D engine with a power of 130 or 139 hp (depending on the degree of forcing).
