Chinese cars are the best-selling in Russia for the third week in a row

For three weeks in a row, Chinese brands have been leading the Russian market, experts of the agency "AUTOSTAT" reported with reference to the data of JSC "PPK"*. So, for the period from March 6 to March 13 (week 10), 2023, there were sold 4,784 new passenger cars of Chinese brands in Russia, which is 39.7% of the total. The second place was occupied by domestic cars (4392 units) with a share of 36.4%. "Koreans" are the third ones (1245 units; 10.3%). However, the domestic LADA remains the leader among brands (4131 units), the share of which was 34.3% last week. It is followed by three Chinese manufacturers at once - Chery (1353 units; share - 11.2%), Haval (1196 units; 9.9%) and Geely (876 units; 7.3%).

Korean Kia finishes the top five (666 units; 5.5%). At the same time, the TOP-10, along with Hyundai, Toyota and UAZ, included two more brands from the Celestial Empire - EXEED and OMODA. TOP-10 of best-selling cars in the Russian Federation according to the results of the 10th week are formed by domestic and Chinese models. LADA Granta again excels here, followed by LADA Niva Travel SUV. The best foreign car was Haval Jolion crossover, which this time managed to get ahead of Geely Coolray. In addition to them, LADA Niva Legend, OMODA C5, Chery Tiggo 4 PRO, Geely Atlas Pro, Chery Tiggo 7 PRO and Haval F7x also got here.
