ABS returned to UAZ Patriot SUVs

Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant again began to equip UAZ Patriot SUVs with an anti-lock braking system, which was temporarily unavailable for the flagship model. According to the portal Quto.ru, instead of the German company Bosch, electronic components for UAZ are now supplied by the Chinese APG. The buyer does not need to pay extra for the availability of ABS: in the only configuration "Base Icarus" worth 1 million 530 thousand rubles, this system is declared as basic equipment. Recall that last year Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant, due to a shortage of electronic components, launched the production of a simplified version of the Patriot model: such cars were deprived of a driver's airbag, ABS and ERA-GLONASS emergency response system.

In addition, the chrome strip disappeared from the radiator grille, and the steering wheel of the 2010 model was registered in the cabin. Meanwhile, by the end of 2023 - the beginning of 2024, the stability control system, as well as airbags, should return to UAZ Patriot. In addition, in 2024, Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant plans to resume production of its SUVs with automatic transmission. Also during 2023, the company plans to develop a modernized Patriot family with a 6-speed manual transmission and a turbo diesel from the Chinese automaker JAC. According to unofficial data, we are talking about JAC HFC4D engine with a power of 130 or 139 hp (depending on the degree of forcing).
