In February, 5,107 units of new light commercial vehicles (LCV) were sold in our country, which is 48.2% lower than in February 2022. This is reported by experts of analytical agency "AUTOSTAT" with reference to the data of JSC "PPK"*. Domestic GAZ remained the leader in this segment, owning over half (54%) of the total market volume.
So, in the last month of winter, 2,772 light commercial vehicles of this brand were sold in the Russian Federation (-37.7% in compare with February 2022). The second place is occupied by another Russian brand – UAZ (964 units; +0.7%). The third place in the brand rating belongs to American Ford (309 units; -83%), which retained its leadership among foreign cars. Domestic LADA (304 units; -73.8%) and Korean Hyundai (169 units; +111.3%) also got into the TOP-5 in terms of sales of new LCVs in February of this year. Of the remaining brands, only two managed to cross the threshold of 100 sold cars - Sollers (144 units) and Mercedes-Benz (116 units; -10.8%).
