KAMAZ plans to increase truck production by 14% in 2023

KAMAZ plans to increase the production to more than 50,000 trucks in 2023 from about 44,000 units of last year, the Prime agency reports. At the same time, due to the increased demand for all-wheel drive vehicles, their share in the total output of the enterprise will increase, and it is planned to increase the rate of assembly of main assembly line. Recall that in February 2023, KAMAZ began the production of KAMAZ-54901 mainline tractors on a new component base that does not depend on supplies from unfriendly countries.

During the year, it is planned to expand the model range of localized K5 vehicles with improved consumer characteristics due to heavy dump trucks KAMAZ-6595 and KAMAZ-65951. At the same time, cars of the K4 generation, assembled from the remnants of components, will be available. Also, cooperation with partners in the field of development of gas engine technology on an accessible component base will continue. As for the new family of medium-duty vehicles Compass, which entered the market in February of last year, in 2023, in addition to the mastered production of Compass 9 and Compass 12 vehicles, it is planned to launch the Compass 5 model.
