Chery announced sales of hybrid Tiggo 8 PRO in Russia

Chery is preparing for the premiere of Tiggo 8 PRO hybrid crossover in Russia, which should go on sale this spring. According to Motor.ru portal, hybrid Tiggo 8 PRO e + is already available in China and Brazil. According to the passport, it consumes only 1 liter per 100 km of track in the combined cycle (real values with a fully charged battery are about 8 liters in urban mode and 4 liters in suburban mode), and in an environmentally friendly mode, movement is carried out by electric engines. Chery Tiggo 8 PRO e+ accelerates from standstill to 100 km/h in 7 seconds.

Details about the Russian version of the hybrid have not been disclosed yet, but it is known that the specification for the Chinese market includes a 1.5-liter turbo four that develops 156 hp and two electric engines. Combined output is 326 hp and 565 Nm. The battery capacity of Tiggo 8 PRO e+ is 19.27 kWh, which allows you to drive 100 km on a single electric power through the NEDC cycle. As AUTOSTAT previously reported, in January 2023, Russian dealers of Chery started the sales of Tiggo 7 PRO Max crossover. In March-April, a new hybrid crossover based on the Tiggo 8 PRO model is expected in our country. In the second half of 2023, Chery intends to start the sales of new Arrizo 8 sedan in Russia.

In addition, the company will introduce restyled versions of Tiggo 4 and Tiggo 8 crossovers to the Russian market. In January 2023, 5,518 Chery cars were purchased in Russia, which is 2 times higher than the previous year.
