The production of passenger cars decreased by 78% in January 2023

According to Rosstat, in January 2023, 21.3 thousand cars rolled off Russian conveyors, which is 77.6% lower than a year ago. It is worth noting that Avtotor began the assembly of cars of the Chinese brand Kaiyi, and the first model was a C-class sedan called E5. In addition, Russian Haval plant has produced the 100,000th vehicle since the start of production in June 2019.

The production of trucks in the first month of 2023 was 5.8 thousand units, which is 35.4% lower than a year before. It should be noted that the main assembly line of KAMAZ worked at an assembly rate of 190 vehicles per day, and in the future it is planned to increase the daily production volume to 220 vehicles by the autumn of 2023.
