There are almost 56 million vehicles in the Russian car fleet

As of January 1, 2023, 55.86 million vehicles were registered in the Russian Federation. Such data were obtained by the experts of "AUTOSTAT" agency. The share of 81% is occupied by passenger cars, which is 45.39 million units. The second in terms of volume is the segment of light commercial vehicles (LCV), occupying a share of almost 8% in the Russian vehicle fleet. In quantitative terms, it corresponds to 4.22 million units.

Trucks are slightly inferior to them (3.72 million units, 7%). Further, in accordance with the volumes, motorcycles and motor vehicles follow (2.13 million units; about 4%). And the smallest segment is buses (0.41 million units) with the share of about 1%.
