Sales of EVM Pro electric truck will begin in the second quarter of 2023

Electric Vehicles Manufacturing Rus has started accepting of pre-orders for the first lot of EVM Pro electric trucks. This was reported to the TASS agency by Ilya Rashkin, general director of Electric Vehicles Manufacturing Rus, adding that shipments of cars to customers will begin in the second quarter of this year. The cost of the first 250 cars will be 4.5 million rubles. The opening of the EVM Pro serial production plant (located in the Technopolis Moscow SEZ) is scheduled for the end of March 2023.

It will be possible to buy a new product both directly at the Electric Vehicles Manufacturing Rus company and at Torgmash car dealerships in Moscow. The EVM Pro electric cargo truck, created on the basis of the UAZ Profi chassis, is offered in three modifications - a manufactured goods van, an euro van and an isothermal van. The power reserve of an electric vehicle weighing 3.5 tons on a single charge will be 300 km, while the allowable payload can reach 1 ton. The key features of the electric truck include a Russian power plant, on-board electronics and proprietary software, as well as autonomous heating for the driver's cab and an electric air conditioner for the summer period of operation.

To preserve the charge in sub-zero temperatures, battery heating is provided. The use of electric truck is also provided for the urban environment. As AUTOSTAT previously reported, in August 2022, Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, Moscow government and the manufacturer of commercial electric vehicles Electric Vehicles Manufacturing Rus signed a special investment contract, according to which EVM undertakes to invest 286 million rubles in the project within 4.5 years. Before the expiration of the SPIC, it is planned to produce more than 3 thousand units of electric transport.

The production site of the EVM company with a planned capacity of up to 1,000 vehicles per year is located on the territory of the Technopolis Moscow SEZ. The total investment in the project at the time of the launch of production will be more than 900 million rubles.
