The share of sales of used cars through official dealers in 2022 fell to 9%

According to the results of 2022, official dealers in Russia sold 432.6 thousand used cars, which is 44% lower than in 2021. According to the experts of "AUTOSTAT", agency based on the results of monitoring the work of dealer networks represented in our country, this is only 9% of the total volume of the secondary market of passenger cars.

Experts also report that the share of official dealers in the structure of the secondary market has been falling for the second year in a row. So, in 2020 it was 14.5%, in 2021 - 13%, and now it has dropped to 9%. Its decline in 2022 is due to the fact that the market of used passenger cars decreased by 19%, while their sales through "officials" fell by 44%.
