The weighted average price of a used car increased by 32% in 2022

Used cars in Russia are getting more expensive than new ones. Such conclusion can be drawn on the basis of the data provided by the experts of "AUTOSTAT" agency at the auto business forum "ForAuto - 2023. Results and forecasts of the car market", which took place in Moscow on February 15. If the weighted average price of a new passenger car in 2022 increased by 20%, then a used one - by 32%. As a result, this figure in the secondary market has already reached 0.89 million rubles. Also, the experts of the agency "AUTOSTAT" noted that the weighted average* price of a used car has been growing for the third year in a row, and every year its growth only intensifies. So, in 2020 it increased by 11%, in 2021 - by 22%, and now by 32%.
