It was declassified new crossover Evolute i-SKY

The new Evolute i-SKY crossover has been declassified in a "live" photo, which came into the possession of the Chinese Cars portal. As it turned out, this is a localized Dongfeng Forthing Thunder model, which has not even entered the Chinese market yet. Recall that the premiere of the novelty took place at the end of December 2022 at the Guangzhou Motor Show. The car is positioned as a purely electric Dongfeng Forthing Thunder mid-size crossover. Its dimensions are: 4600 x 1860 x 1680 mm with a wheelbase of 2715 mm. Thus, in terms of body dimensions, it is almost identical to the Toyota RAV4.

The appearance of Dongfeng Forthing Thunder is distinguished by a two-tone body color with bright decorative inserts, two-tier optics, and aerodynamic wheels. As for the interior, the crossover received sports seats and contrasting interior elements, as well as a double monolithic screen controlled by Tencent HMI 2.0 interactive software. This system supports full voice interaction with the driver and is able to control various functions of the car through commands, even to maintain an uninterrupted dialogue with a person. Also, the new electric car can offer a full range of various auxiliary assistants, along with an L2 + level autonomous driving system. Regardless of the configuration, Dongfeng Forthing Thunder is equipped with a single electric motor located on the front axle. Engine power is 204 hp at 340 Nm of torque. Such power unit is able to accelerate the crossover to 100 km / h in 7.9 seconds. The speed is limited at around 180 km / h.

At the same time, the electric car will be able to offer two battery options. Depending on the capacity of the battery pack at 57.8 or 85.9 kWh, Forthing Thunder will be able to drive 430 or 630 km, respectively (according to the CLTC method). As AUTOSTAT previously reported, Motorinvest Lipetsk plant, which launched the production of Evolute electric vehicles in September 2022, plans to expand the line to 7 models this year.
