The new Kaiyi E5 sedan will go on sale in March 2023

As part of the auto business forum "ForAuto - 2023. Results and forecasts of the car market", organized by the agency "AUTOSTAT", the first public demonstration of the new Kaiyi E5 sedan took place, the production of which was launched at the Kaliningrad plant "Avtotor" at the end of January. According to Dmitry Ivanov, a representative of the company, Avtotor is currently engaged in the formation of a dealer network and a primary warehouse for finished cars.

The cost of Kaiyi E5 will be announced closer to the start of sales, which is scheduled for March. According to preliminary data, the price of model in basic equipment with a manual transmission will be 1.6 million rubles, and in the maximum configuration and with a CVT - about 2 million rubles. Recall that the world premiere of Kaiyi E5 sedan took place at the end of 2021.

The car has one of the longest wheelbases in the segment (2700 mm) and fully independent front and rear suspension. Under the bonnet of the car, a non-alternative 1.5-liter turbo engine with a capacity of 147 hp is installed, paired with which a 6-speed manual gearbox and a variator are offered.
