05 julymore infoAccording to the estimation of the analytic agency "AUTOSTAT", the largest share of sales (40.1%) in the Russian car market in January-June of 2018 fell on cars worth from 600 thousand up to 1 million rubles.
As part of auto business forum "ForAuto - 2023. Results and forecasts of car market", which was held in Moscow on February 15th, a round table was held with representatives of large dealer holdings. The current trend is that dealers are actively building parallel import processes. So, the participants of the round table have already arranged deliveries of cars in this way and started sales of them. To do this, many tasks had to be solved - from finding storage facilities to providing a guarantee for imported cars.
Having adjusted the work, dealers have already entered 2023 with confidence. So, Yulia Ovchinnikova (“KlyuchAuto”) said that the company can provide cars not only for itself, but also for its partners. Andrey Terlyukevich (“AvtoSpetsCentre”) compared today's time with the beginning of the 90s, when the borders were opened and you could bring anything you wanted. Now dealers are able to deliver almost any car at the request of the client. Experts believe that today's demand for cars is higher than the supply on the market. However, demand is at a "stop". The buyer has the money to buy, but he took a wait-and-see attitude.
Vladimir Miroshnikov (“ROLF”) believes that the “seller's market” or “buyer's market” has now gone, and the “market of the situation” has arrived. Sales will depend, among other things, on external factors occurring in the country. Dealers also discussed the drop in the premium segment. Auto experts agreed that the buyer's priorities have changed. And if earlier a consumer could buy easily a premium car on credit to show his status, today the values have changed. Purchase of a car goes to another plan, says Vladimir Miroshnikov.
