Import of used electric vehicles to Russia fell by 30%

If in 2022 the import of new electric vehicles to Russia increased, then the import of used ones fell, experts of AUTOSTAT agency reported with reference to the data of JSC "PPK"*. So, 4,329 used electric cars were imported into the Russian Federation last year, which is 30% lower than in 2021. 64% of all imports of used electric vehicles belonged to Nissan products, which is 2,765 units. Other 22% of the total import volume belongs to Tesla brand (944 units). At the same time, imports of Japanese brand decreased by 44%, while the import of American brand increased 2.1 times.

The share of each of the remaining brands is below 2%, and quantitatively it is less than 100 units. Among the models, Nissan is also in the lead, namely Leaf - with a result of 2761 imported second-hand units. Next in the ranking are three Tesla cars at once - Model 3 (523 units), Model S (281 units) and Model X (139 units). The TOP-5 is finished by Mitsubishi i-MiEV, the import volume of which last year was 81 units. In total, more than 30 different brands of used electric cars were imported into our country in 2022.
