Only Chinese vehicles were in the TOP-3 of the most popular trucks in the Russian market

The sixth week of 2023 (from February 6 to 12) surprised automotive market experts by the fact that for the first time the domestic KAMAZ did not get into the TOP-3 of the model rating in the new truck market. According to the data of JSC "PPK" *, for the specified period, the first three lines were occupied by representatives of the Chinese automotive industry. The market leader was SITRAK C7H with 363 sold units. Note that C7H is a newcomer to the Russian market. Shacman (Shaanxi) SX3318 is the second one in terms of purchased trucks with 172 units, and FAW CA3310 is the third one (159 units). If we consider the TOP-5, then it includes domestic KAMAZ 43118 and KAMAZ 65115 (146 and 137 units, respectively). However, KAMAZ managed to keep its leadership in the brand rating.

According to the results of the sixth week, 553 new trucks of this domestic brand were purchased in the market. Chinese brand Shacman is the second one (371 units), SITRAK is the third one (363 units). In general, for the previous week, experts noted positive dynamics in the truck market - both in relation to the fifth week of the year (+3%) and to the same period in 2022 (+21.5%). In total, from February 6 to 12, 2023, 2331 trucks were purchased in Russia.
