Chery became the leader among foreign cars in Russia in January 2023

According to the results of January, 5518 Chery cars were bought in Russia, which is 2 times higher than the previous year. As a result, Chery has become a leader among all foreign automakers in our country, experts of "AUTOSTAT" agency reported with reference to the data of JSC "PPK"*.

The most popular Chery model in the Russian market in January was Tiggo 7 PRO crossover with 2,283 vehicles (an increase of 2.4 times). The second place was taken by the seven-seater SUV Chery Tiggo 8 PRO, which was chosen by 965 buyers. The third result was shown by the compact crossover Chery Tiggo 4 – 664 sold cars (-26%). This is followed by Chery Tiggo 4 PRO, sales of which were 664 units. Tiggo 8 PRO crossover finishes the top-five of Chery's Russian bestsellers, sold in the amount of 422 units.

It is worth noting that in January 2023, Russian Chery dealers began sales of Tiggo 7 PRO Max crossover, which found 391 owners by the end of month. As AUTOSTAT previously reported, in March-April a new hybrid crossover is expected in our country, which, according to unofficial information, is based on the Tiggo 8 PRO model. In the second half of 2023, Chery is going to start the sales of new Arrizo 8 sedan in Russia. In addition, the company will introduce restyled versions of Tiggo 4 and Tiggo 8 crossovers to the Russian market.
