Nizhegorodets launched the first electric taxi project in Russia

Nizhegorodets company, with the support of the government of Nizhny Novgorod region and Rosnano, launched the first electric taxi project in Russia. The new service is being implemented in Nizhny Novgorod on cars of the Russian brand of electric vehicles Evolute, the company's press service reported. Together with the fleet of electric vehicles, 44 charging stations for them appeared in the city at once.

At the first stage, Nizhegorodets has already invested in the project and purchased 180 Evolute i-PRO electric cars to form a taxi fleet. By the spring of 2023, their number is planned to be increased to 250 vehicles. Calling an electric taxi will be available through a mobile application, and the cost of the service will be equivalent to trips by conventional cars within the Comfort and Comfort+ tariffs. “Nizhegorodets company comes from a taxi fleet. And now also one of the largest car dealers in Russia. Therefore, who better than us to become the first and create a new fleet of taxis based on electric vehicles.

Thanks to our decision to invest in electric taxis, more than 300 jobs will be created in the near future, on the basis that each car is used around the clock in two shifts,” says Alexei Makarov, Nizhegorodets Director for Development and Corporate Management.
