Used luxury car market grew by 4% in 2022

Unlike the market of new luxury cars, which fell by 58% last year, the situation with used luxury looks quite optimistic. According to the data of agency "AUTOSTAT", in 2022, residents of the Russian Federation purchased 1927 used cars of the Luxury segment. This is 4% higher than in 2021 (1861 units). About a half of the total (45%) belonged to Bentley brand, which is 866 units. It was sold much less Rolls-Royce (373 units) and Maserati (336 units) used cars. As for expensive supercars of other brands, 182 used Lamborghini cars, 119 Ferraris and 51 Aston Martins changed their owners during the year. Bentley Continental GT is the leader among used luxury models in 2022, with 418 sold units. It should be noted that the second and third places were also taken by representatives of this brand - Bentley Bentayga (195 units) and Bentley Continental Flying Spur (175 units).

The TOP-5 also includes Maserati Levante (174 units) and Rolls-Royce Cullinan (114 units). Lamborghini Urus (110 cars) also managed to step over the threshold of 100 cars, while the performance of other models is below this value. With regard to the geography of this market, experts did not note any surprises in 2022. Traditionally, the lion's share of used "luxury" cars belonged to Moscow - 54%. And together with the Moscow region (11%) and St. Petersburg (10%), these three regional markets together have three quarters of the total volume. Among the non-capital subjects of the Russian Federation, Krasnodar Territory is the best with a share of about 5%.
