Crossover Voyah Free received a more affordable version in Russia

The model range of the premium Voyah brand (owned by Dongfeng) in Russia has been replenished with a series-hybrid modification of the Free crossover, which received an additional EVR prefix to the name. The price of the novelty is from 7 million 290 thousand rubles, which is 700 thousand rubles cheaper than the standard electric Free. This is due, first of all, to a much less capacious, and therefore less expensive, battery, writes the Chinese Automobiles portal. Externally, Voyah Free EVR has no differences from a standard electric car.

The main changes are hidden under the bonnet, where the 1.5-liter internal combustion engine with a capacity of 109 hp is located, which acts as a generator for the batteries. It is worth noting that the series-hybrid version in Russia turned out to be more powerful than the standard electric one - 694 hp. vs. 488 hp. Of course, this also affected the acceleration to the first “hundred”, which now takes 4.5 seconds instead of 4.7. The maximum speed in both cases is limited to 200 km / h. The battery of Voyah Free EVR has a capacity of 33 kWh, which allows you to drive up to 140 km on a single charge. When using internal combustion engines, this figure will increase to 694 km according to the WLTP method.

The regular electric Voyah Free has a larger 106 kWh battery. However, the power reserve is less by 194 km. As AUTOSTAT previously reported, Lipetsk company Motorinvest, which is the official importer of Voyah premium electric vehicles, is preparing to start sales of the Dreamer electric minivan in Russia. In the Russian market, this model will be called the same as in Europe - Dream, as evidenced by the official website of the brand. The minivan will be available with both all-electric power plant and a hybrid one, and preliminary prices, depending on the version, range from 8.29 million rubles to 8.49 million rubles.
