LADA Granta became the most popular car in St. Petersburg in 2022

Last year, the leader changed in the car market of the Northern capital. According to the experts of the agency "AUTOSTAT" with reference to the data of JSC "PPK" *, among new cars, the residents of St. Petersburg gave the most preference to the family of cars LADA Granta in 2022. So, for the whole 2022, they purchased 2000 units of this model - only 7% less than in 2021.

In second place was Haval Jolion crossover with 1682 units, which is 2.5 times higher than a year ago. But the leader of St. Petersburg car market in 2021 - Kia Rio - fell to third place in 2022 (1627 units; - 66%). The fourth position is taken by Chery Tiggo 7 PRO crossover (1564 units, including Tiggo 7), by demonstrating an increase of 88%. Hyundai Creta crossover finishes the top five with 1429 units (-66%), ending the year with 1346 vehicles and 27% growth.

In addition to them, the top-10 of the most popular models among St. Petersburg residents included: Geely Coolray (1346 units; +27%), Hyundai Solaris (1217 units; -71%), LADA Vesta (1134 units; -69%), Volkswagen Polo (933 units; -75%) and Renault Logan (894 units; -60%). In total, according to the results of 2022, 41,647 new passenger cars were purchased in St. Petersburg, which is lower by 61% than in 2021.
